Saint John School Alumni is Acknowledged with National Award

Mia Humphrey, a Saint John School graduate has shown amazing selfless work in co-finding the 2B-Rad non-profit which combines efforts with Encinitas non-profit, Nature Unplugged. Their work assembles people who are going through a tough time in a nature setting of outdoor adventures, hiking and backpacking trips. Mia, who participated in Minie Vinnies during her time at Saint Johns and in high school, received the inaugural Alice Garvey Excellence in Youth Award from the Society of St. Vincent de Paul USA. She is a wonderful example of living her faith and supporting others in need. She has experienced tremendous loss and has created something in service to others and centers herself on the “Humphrey Creed”: “Try your best, never give up, no fussing or whining, and finish the job.” We are proud of the Faith in Action that Mia Humphrey exhibits and all the work she has accomplished for others.
