Science Comes Alive

With the introduction of the Next Generation Science Standards, four Saint John School teachers started a series of Professional Development workshops this week to learn more about engaging our children in science exploration, experimentation, and inquiry. All Saint John School science teachers will eventually take the series of courses offered through this workshop. There are nine courses that must be taken to complete the NGSS program.

The science workshops are led by the San Diego County Office of Education. Parent support of the science program through the recent Auction Fund-a-Need has made this possible. Through additional training and the purchase of equipment and resources, we are helping our K-5 science curriculum come alive for our students.
