Coaches' Information Page

This page is designed to assist and guide our coaching volunteers. As always, never hesitate to contact Mr. Greci for more information.

Primary Requirements:
LiveScan: Coaches must have this done prior to the start of the season. Contact Marlene Cruz in the office for more details and the necessary forms.
TB shot: Proof of this shot is also needed prior to coaching. Receipt copies of this shot can be brought in to the office for recording.

Competitive Philosophy:
Varsity: The goal at this competitive level is to further advance the student's sport skills, increase game knowledge and strategy and enjoy the comraderie of his/her teammates while positively contributing to the team effort. Students should expect to receive some playing time in most games and understand playing time is not guaranteed and will vary from game to game. The coaching staff will work to ensure students have a positive experience and finish the season with a better appreciation of the sport and teammates.
Jr. Varsity: The goal at this level is to have fun, learn and practice basic sport skills and learn some strategy of the game. Players attending practice should expect to play, as a general rule, about 33-50% of every game.
Pre-season items:
Rosters: Mr. Greci will keep you informed as to the current roster of players
Group E-mail: Once you have a roster, create a group e-mail and always include Mr. Greci

Team Coordinator: Coaches should ensure they seek the help of a team parent to help with logistics such as carpool arrangements, uniform pick up and distribution, snacks, etc.
Team Reminders: Team parent or coach should try to send reminders of games and practices via group e-mail and ask for advance notice of student absences.
Game Cancellations: The A.D.'s will notify one another before noon if there is to be a cancelled game and then the coaches will be notified. The A.D. will also notify the office and players via some sort of announcement.
